Hi Friend! Let me tell you about me.
My name is Shawna Novak.
As a 50 something year old empty nester, my husband and I are enjoying a new season of life in our small town in Texas.
For 30 years, I was a Registered Dental Hygienist and loved my job. I never imagined I would leave my career. Then, God called me to serve as Minister to Children at my church and I’ve loved every minute.
We have 2 absolutely gorgeous, independent, intelligent, and brave adult daughters. They amaze me everyday and I love them so much. We have one incredible son in law who is a strong, handsome Christian man and loves our oldest daughter so well. They gave us the best gift we could ever imagine, our precious granddaughter. She fills all of our lives with fun and laughter and joy.
We have an insane Border Collie named, Nili, a long haired Chihuahua named, Ziggy, a giant grey tabby cat named Smokey, and a snow shoe Siamese, named Sadie. They keep us entertained. We praise God daily for the blessed life we live.
My precious husband of 33 years retired as a Houston Firefighter in 2014 and recently has gone back to work part time. As we navigate this new season of life, I am pursuing my dream and love of writing.
I pray He will pour out streams of His love through me to you.
