Does God Have You In a New Season?

Does God have you in a new season of life?  As spring warms the ground in Texas and Bluebonnets begin to makes their appearance, life lessons about God are taught through them.  Bluebonnets don’t always bloom in the same areas each year.  This made me think of how God calls us to serve in different places in different seasons.  Not only is it Bluebonnet season, it is also rodeo season in Texas and the time of year Texans celebrate all things Texas. Now for something completely different from my previous posts, 7 answers to some common dental questions. Most of you know before serving in children’s ministry, I worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist.  I graduated in 1986, but before going to hygiene school I worked as a dental assistant.  Since 1981, there are approximately a half a bazillion different offices from Texas City to College Station where I cleaned teeth or assisted the dentist.  I thought it might be fun to answer a few frequently asked dental questions. What is the Betrothal Ring?

Hannah did not get much sleep the night before.

This day was unlike any in her young life. Her father had met with a Jewish boy’s father down the road.  The boy’s name was Joshua.  They had met to discuss a Bride price for her hand in marriage.  The fathers had finally come to an agreement.  Hannah’s father loved and treasured her, so Joshua’s father would have to pay dearly for her hand in marriage.  Today was to be the day of the Betrothal.  This was the day she would decide if she was ready to accept the Betrothal ring.
