When God Shows Himself in Our Lives

Reading Time: 7 minutes

Life gets so busy during the Christmas season and sometimes we might not notice when God shows Himself in our lives. There will be days in each of our lives when God shows Himself in our lives. Here is how God showed Himself in my life one December day.

This post is in memory of our dear friend, Travis, who lived his life acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with his God (Micah 6:8) and in honor of our sweet breath of Heaven, Grannie Annie, because she would love this the most. ย We miss you both everyday.

A.C.T.S. – 4 Key Points to the Model Prayer

Reading Time: 5 minutes

โ€œCome away with me. Just you and me, to a secluded place where we can be alone and spend time together. I want to know you and be known by youโ€, her lover pleaded with her. This man loved her as no other person on earth. He accepted all of her flaws or the flaws that she perceived she had. He only saw her as beautiful, treasured and loved.

She longed to spend time with him, just the two of them. They would talk and laugh and dance. It would be amazing to have him all to herself with no interruptions. He was the best listener, the perfect man. (more…)

Why Do We Take Our Kids To Church?

Reading Time: 6 minutes

โ€œWhy do we go to church?โ€ the twelve-year-old girl asked innocently. ย The answer is difficult at best to put into just a few words.ย  I will try but Iโ€™m not a person ofย  a few words. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Why do we take our kids to church?

If truth were told, itโ€™s hard for the most devout Christian to get up and get the whole family dressed and to church on time without a small war breaking out in the home.

So why do we do it, why do we go to church?

Inspiration of Time and Trees

Reading Time: 3 minutes

It was about 73 degrees outside; sunny with just a whisper of a breeze blowing the whisps of blonde hair across my face that had come loose from my ponytail.ย  I had pulled it up in a hurry to get outside to watch my daughters play. ย My babies, ages 9 and 5, were running back and forth from the horse trough showing me the tadpoles they had caught at the pond with their dad. ย Time blew through the trees in my yard…time and trees.

Their happy squeals echoed through the trees as they played and had their little girl tiffs over who owned the biggest tadpole.ย  Off in the pasture, I heard the little cottonwood tree flutter its leaves in the wind as if all of creation celebrated the glory of God in the beauty of the day.

Inspiration of Faith and Friends…

Reading Time: 6 minutes

When I started this post about the inspiration of Faith and Friends, I intended to go a different direction with it but it wasn’t coming together. I stopped, saved it, and spent some time praying about it. Then God directed it the way it should go. (Psalm 3:6)

Laughter, Perfection, Sunshine, Peace, and Fairy Dust are my “no matter what” friends.

No matter what I do or say or what they do or say, we will always be friends. There is nothing that will make us stop loving each other. I won’t use their names but they will recognize themselves. These ladies have been my “Jesus with skin on” throughout my life.
